Since starting KM FITNESS in 2004, I've worked hard at creating a system that would encompass the 5 pillars of health and fitness which are:  Sleep, Hydration, Nutrition, Stress Management and Exercise.  They are in the order of most importance.  You can not function without Sleep, Water and Food, so they come first.  Smoking like you are on fire, and drinking like you are trying to put it out is not proper stress management, but that is exactly how some people react to stress!  Exercise not only has the ability to improve your weight, and get you stronger, but is also one of the most effective ways to lower physical, mental and spiritual stress, and lower inflammation in the body.  We teach the 5 Pillars, because that is the only way to get you your from where you are, to where you want to be.

HOW DO YOU ASSESS WHAT PROGRAM IS BEST FOR ME?

That really depends on your goals!  Before beginning any program, we offer a complementary consultation.  At your consultation, we review your Medical History, discuss your goals, and perform an evaluation, which focuses on Body Composition, Strength, flexibility and aerobic endurance.  Based on the results of the evaluation, along with Medical History and established goals, we develop a plan that meets your nutritional, lifestyle and exercise criteria. 

WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?  WHAT ABOUT CHRONIC ILLNESS?

KM Fitness stands for Keenan Medical Fitness, we look to cater to those who would not thrive in a warehouse style gym, with supervision that is not trained to management those with health issues, or not present at all!  We speak your doctors language, any instructions by your physician will be followed, and follow up reports can be sent to the prescribing physician, Therapist or Chiropractor.  Chronic illness is usually indicative that there is a deficiency in Sleep, Hydration, Nutrition, Stress Management or Exercise!  We know that, and have the applications to move towards optimal health and wellness.

My Doctor suggested vitamins, minerals and supplements, are they really neccesary?

Our ancestors ate a diet rich in free range animal proteins, such as chicken, eggs, bison, deer, fish and basically anything they could catch.  Organ meats, such as liver, kidneys, and the fats of the animal were also consumed.  Greens were abundent, so they too, along with nuts, seeds and berries were included in their daily diet.  Very little root vegetables, fruit and grains were available, so we developed a strong "craving" for them when they could be found.  We were a migratory people, that is , up to about 10,000 years ago, when the first farming communities began to spring up around the fertile crescant of the Middle East, India and Africa.  It was around this time, that the Modern diseases of Diabetes, Heart Disease, Osteoprosis, Tooth Decay and Cancer were first identified, as per historians and anthropologists.  Current diets are reflective of processed sugar, grains and even meats.  The nutritional quality of our foods is very poor as comparted to mour ancestors of 50,000 years ago.  Poor soil, irrigation, pollution, synthetic fertilizers, GMO seed and long trips on cargo ships make the need for supplementation crucial to our health and wellness.  Please consult us for a Free Assessment, and Free Report that will make all of this more clear.  Our Assessment is HIPAA Compliant, so all information is confidential.

What happens after my sessions are over and my 28 Days of supplements are finished?
